Jenn and Ryan met for the first time. Ryan went with a couple of friends to Origin, a nightclub in Japantown SF, while Jenn went there to celebrate a college friend's 21st birthday. They met each other at the venue, exchanged phone numbers, and their love story began.

Jenn and Ryan had their first date (albeit it was with a few of Jenn's friends because stranger danger lol). They had dinner at Gen BBQ in San Jose where Ryan told the server it was Jenn's birthday, and they got free dessert. They then drove over to Round 1 Arcade where they played arcade games and took this photobooth picture that they still have displayed on their fridge today.

Knowing Ryan had been wanting to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in LA, Jenn surprised him with tickets for their 1st anniversary! (They decided to have their anniversary every April 30th, celebating the day they met.) They also got tickets to be part of the live audience for the taping of the Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon proposed to Amy.

Jenn and Ryan celebrated their 2nd anniversary in New York where they ate pizza, sushi, Levain's cookies, and cheesecake and watched the filming of an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Jenn took Ryan to her hometown in Quezon City, Philippines. She had him try her favorite restaurants, visit her high school, and meet some of her relatives and friends who still live there. They also went to Cebu where they went canyoneering at Kawasan Falls and had the best lechon.

They flew to Japan straight from the Philippines and explored Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka with friends. This was the first of what will be numerous trips to Japan.

Jenn and Ryan moved in together during the pandemic to a 1BR/1BA apartment in South San Francisco. Ryan somehow convinced Jenn to let him have a squat rack in the middle of the dining/living room.

Coconut, a cute and fluffy chow chow, joined their little family!

Jenn and Ryan became homeowners! This 3BR/2BA house in San Bruno is the perfect home for Jenn, Ryan, and Coconut with enough rooms for a home office and a big backyard for Coconut.

First Christmas with Coconut and as homeowners! Jenn and Ryan decided to fully embrace the Christmas spirit and decorated the house and wore matching PJs.

Jenn caught the bouquet at her friend William and Julia's wedding and started wondering when Ryan will propose...

After 8+ years of being together, Ryan surprised Jenn with a proposal in Jozankei, Hokkaido, Japan. He took her to Futami Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge and gave her a keychain with a picture of them that says, "Will You Marry Me?" It took Jenn a minute to notice this question on the keychain, but when she did, she happily said yes!

Ryan once again surprised Jenn, but this time with an engagement party at their home in San Bruno as soon as they got back from the airport from Japan. Their close friends and family were there to celebrate over pizza, Jollibee, desserts, and various snacks from Japan.
